The yarn supply mechanism, also known as the yarn feeding mechanism, includes components such as yarn frame, yarn storage device, yarn feeding nozzle, yarn feeding disc, yarn ring bracket, etc.

1. Yarn frame

The yarn rack is used for placing yarn. It has two types: umbrella type yarn frame (also known as top type yarn frame) and floor type yarn frame. Umbrella style yarn racks take up a small amount of space, but cannot accommodate spare yarn, making them suitable for small businesses in the area. The floor standing yarn rack has a triangular yarn rack and a wall type yarn rack (also known as a two-piece yarn rack). The triangular yarn holder is relatively easy to move, making it convenient for operators to wear yarn; The wall type yarn rack is arranged neatly and beautifully, but it takes up a relatively large area and is convenient for placing spare yarn, making it suitable for enterprises with large factories.

2. Yarn storage device

The yarn storage device is used for winding yarn in three forms: ordinary yarn storage device, elastic yarn storage device (used when spandex bare yarn and other fiber yarns are interwoven), and electronic gap yarn storage device (used on jacquard circular knitting machines). Due to the different types of fabrics produced by knitting machines, the yarn feeding methods used are also different. Generally, there are three types of yarn feeding: active yarn feeding (yarn is wound 10-20 times on the storage container), semi passive yarn feeding (yarn is wound 1-2 times on the storage container), and passive yarn feeding (yarn is not wound on the storage container).

3. Feed the yarn mouth

The yarn feeding nozzle is also known as a steel shuttle or yarn guide. Used for feeding yarn directly onto knitting needles, it has many types and shapes, including single hole feeding mouth, two hole one groove feeding mouth, etc.

4. Other

The sand table is used to control the yarn feeding amount in the knitting production of the large circular knitting machine; The yarn holder can support the large ring for installing the yarn storage device.
5. Basic requirements for yarn supply mechanism

(1) The yarn supply mechanism must ensure the uniformity and continuity of the yarn feeding amount and tension, and ensure that the size and shape of the loops in the fabric are consistent, in order to obtain smooth and beautiful knitted products.

(2) The yarn supply mechanism should ensure that the yarn tension is reasonable, thereby reducing the occurrence of defects such as needle leakage on the fabric surface, reducing weaving defects, and ensuring the quality of the woven fabric.

(3) The yarn supply ratio between each weaving system (commonly known as the number of threads) meets the requirements. Easy adjustment of yarn supply (referring to the yarn feeding tray) to meet the yarn consumption needs of different colors and varieties.

(4) The yarn hook must be smooth and free of burrs, ensuring that the yarn is placed neatly and the tension is uniform, effectively preventing yarn breakage.
