Lubrication requirements for knitting oil on large circular knitting machines
The core components of the knitting machine, such as the needle cylinder, needles, sinkers, and triangular guides, are subjected to high-speed reciprocating friction and high-pressure contact. The specialized knitting oil must meet the three core principles of pertinence, stability, and compatibility. The specific lubrication requirements are as follows:
1. Excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear performance
When the large circular knitting machine runs at high speed (some models exceed 1000 revolutions per minute), high-pressure friction surfaces are formed between the knitting needles and the needle cylinder, as well as between the sinker and the triangle. The knitting oil needs to be able to quickly form a high-strength and non breakable lubricating oil film on the metal surface, effectively reducing the friction coefficient, avoiding problems such as biting, wear, and pulling of components, and extending the service life of vulnerable parts such as the knitting needles and needle cylinder.
2. Suitable viscosity and viscosity temperature characteristics
The viscosity of the oil needs to be matched with the speed and process of the large circular knitting machine: high-speed models are suitable for low viscosity knitting oil to ensure good oil fluidity and rapid penetration to various friction points; Low speed heavy-duty models can use medium to high viscosity oil to enhance the oil film bearing capacity. At the same time, knitting oil needs to have good viscosity temperature characteristics. When the temperature fluctuates in the workshop (such as high temperature in summer and low temperature in winter), the viscosity change amplitude is small to ensure stable lubrication performance.
3. Good thermal stability and cleanliness
High speed friction generates a large amount of heat, and knitting oil needs to have strong thermal stability and be less prone to high-temperature oxidation and deterioration, resulting in sludge and carbon deposits; At the same time, it can quickly remove the heat generated by friction and reduce the working temperature of components. In addition, the oil needs to have a certain degree of cleaning and dispersing ability, which can dissolve impurities such as fiber debris and dust generated during the operation of the equipment, prevent oil circuit blockage and wear of components caused by impurities.
4. Fabric friendliness, no residue or pollution
Knitting oil will directly come into contact with the fabric fabric, so it must meet the requirements of no residue, no odor, and not affecting the quality of the fabric: the volatility of the oil should be moderate to avoid excessive residue causing the fabric to stain, yellow, or evaporate too quickly causing insufficient lubrication; Do not contain ingredients that can cause fabric discoloration or hardening of the hand feel. Suitable for various fiber materials such as cotton, polyester, spandex, etc., to ensure that the finished fabric meets the appearance and hand feel standards.
5. Compatibility with equipment seals
Knitting oil needs to have good compatibility with the rubber seals and plastic components of the circular knitting machine, without causing swelling, hardening, or cracking of the seals, preventing oil leakage and seepage problems due to seal failure, and ensuring equipment sealing and operational stability.
6. Flexibility to adapt to different working conditions
For different knitting processes such as single-sided, double-sided, jacquard, as well as different production environments such as high-temperature and low-temperature workshops, knitting oil needs to be classified into different types to meet differentiated lubrication requirements: for example, special oil for low-temperature environments needs to have low-temperature fluidity to avoid oil solidification; Oil used in high temperature and high humidity environments needs to enhance its anti emulsification performance to prevent emulsification failure when the oil encounters water.
